Using Innovative Technology of Bacteria and Lake Aerator to Restore Lakes


The number of people who are living near ponds and lakes has been increasing over the recent past. This has resulted to deposition of more sediments and nutrients into these watersheds. Continued deposition of sediments and nutrients to these watersheds results to increased pollution. Among the sediments and nutrients that are commonly deposited in these watersheds include waste from homes, soil run-off, fertilizers and agricultural chemicals. Their continued deposition into water sheds increases water temperature, weeds, algae blooms nasty orders and harmful bacteria. The restoration process

Aerobic bacteria in the watershed are responsible for eating nutrients. If this pollution continues unchecked, the watershed will start dying. Eventually, weeds and algae take hold. Dead weeds and algae will start rotting on the walls and bottom of the watershed. These will also continue adding nutrients in the pond or lake. Thus, depletion of oxygen at the lower part of the watershed continues setting up an environment that is suitable for blooming of new algae and weeds which will also end up dying and adding nutrients to the pond. 

If this cycle continues unchecked, it will result to a condition where the watershed cannot support life. Fish and other organisms will eventually die. Many people are tempted to add herbicides and chemicals as a means of restoring the normal cycle in a lake or pond. However, this is not the right approach. This is because it results to dying of more and more vegetation that eventually accumulates at the bottom of the lake or pond. As the accumulated vegetation rot, it depletes the watershed of its oxygen. Excessive chemicals can also be toxic to organisms such as fish.

Using Lake Aerator

Lake Aerator is an effective and environmental friendly method of restoring a lake or pond to a normal condition. It increases the level of dissolved oxygen in the water to facilitate aerobic decomposition of nutrients. Organic sediments are dissolved successfully through addition of several units of Lake Aerator and aerobic bacteria. These facilitate natural self-cleaning process of a lake or pond. By ensuring a lake environment that is rich in oxygen reduces the amount of organic sediments in the lake. Once aerobic conditions are established at the lake’s bottom, the normal chain of food and organisms is also restored ensuring that there are no chances of weeds and algae escalating.
