Overdoing cardio can be counterproductive. That’s because cardio exercises can make the body hold on to energy sources. That’s why it’s advisable to combine resistance training and cardio. Take time to stretch because stretching improves posture and flexibility while reliving tension in the muscles.

·       Break up workouts

Don’t exercise relentlessly to save time. Instead, break up long workouts into small chunks. For instance, you can stretch for ten minutes, take a morning shower, and then take a twenty minutes walk over lunch. Eventually, lift weights in the evening.

·       Keep advancing

Don’t hesitate to try super-challenging workouts. These exercises are tough but effective. Essentially, you will achieve your fitness goals faster when you keep advancing. Therefore, keep challenging yourself. For instance, go for additional repetitions and raise your treadmill incline level. Push yourself further every day. However, slow down if workout feels extremely intense or if you can’t breathe while exercising.

Sports drinks are not necessary for ordinary people that want to keep fit. That’s because they are full of extra calories. Since reducing your calorie intake is mostly part of the plan to keep fit, try lemon water instead.
